This quilt was commissioned by my friend Barb for her home. She has been a working "cowgirl" all her adult life. Each boot represents things that have been a part of her ranching days.... An example is a boot with mice all over it, a common occurance at her summer lodging in the high mountain valleys of Colorado surrounded by awesome views, several hundred cow/calf pairs, horses, mules, many working dogs, lots of tack and pick-ups with horse trailers attached. She wanted a bit of femininity amongst all the rough tough daily activity.
